THE EARLY PADDLER GETS A WORKOUT

Morning Paddle to the Arch plus Snorkeling

Your guide will be waiting for you on the beach to give you a brief introduction and orientation to the sport. When you’re ready, bring your board to the water’s edge and start paddling. Your guide will paddle at your pace so that you can enjoy the view along the way. The shoreline with the beautiful landscape as a backdrop will keep you company all the way to Land’s End. Watch the sun slowly make its way up the sky as you paddle on the water’s tranquil surface. Mornings are the best time to be in the bay, when Cabo boat tours are still getting ready for the day’s activities.

When you reach the Arch, stop for a moment, take a breath, and enjoy the morning’s beauty. Capture some snaps of the Arch, Lovers’ Beach, Neptune’s Finger, and Finisterra if you have your camera with you. Some of the rock formations are over six million years old. This will be the time to turn around and slowly make your way back.

Beach break and snorkel

Stop at Pelican Beach to snorkel with tropical fish at Pelican Rock. Snorkelers and SCUBA divers alike gather in this coral reef area, which provides a safe shelter for more than 20 different species of fish. Cast off from the beach one more time for a final paddle back to your starting point. An energy snack will be waiting to give you a boost at the end of your tour.

Cabo San Lucas is especially busy during the Christmas holidays and spring break. We suggest scheduling your Cabo stand-up paddle board excursion before or after the busy periods if you want to stay away from the crowds. From October to May, cruise ships also come calling every 5 to 10 days. You may see up to 6 ships in port during peak season.

Tourism generates a lot of income for Los Cabos, but it also has its downside. Remember to bring your streetsmarts with you when you venture out.
