Your Local Operator in Mongolia

Unimaginably vast, the landlocked country of Mongolia is bordered by Russia to the north and China to the south. And, if you stand on Mongolia’s highest peak, you’ll see the country of Kazakhstan, formerly of the defunct Soviet Republic. To explore this nation properly and have meaningful Mongolia local experiences, you need a lot of time in the country. Three months will barely scratch the surface if you want to get to know this nomadic culture. The best time to go is when it’s not snowing and bitterly cold, which limits you to the months of May to October.

Your Mongolia local experiences will be hosted by Nara and Undraa, whom we met on our first trip to the country in 2016. At the time, we hiked, flew, hitchhiked, and traveled by bus. We spent some time in Northern Mongolia and central part of the country. On our next visit, we decided to purchase a motorcycle that we would use as our means to get around. It allowed us to be more mobile and flexible with our schedule. On the other hand, we had to independently navigate roads that sometimes did not appear on any map. Fortunately, we met friendly nomads who were always willing to lend a helping hand or ready to sit down on the grass for a chat. Nara and Undraa were also there for us whenever we needed assistance. We hope that you’ll get to experience Mongolian hospitality as we have.
